Judy Ross Mack's artistry reflects a deep connection to Indigenous culture, blending traditional themes with contemporary interpretations to evoke emotion and spark imagination.

Judy is Swampy Cree from Weenusk First Nation. She is a 60s scoop survivor. She was taken from her mother at 3yrs old and placed in a non-Aboriginal home. With the help of KW Indigenous community, she was able to rediscover her Indigenous roots at age 16yrs. She was eventually reunited with her real family.

She began to draw when she was young. Her learning style is self-taught. Through the years, she has spent time studying different indigenous styles and techniques. She draws inspiration from Indigenous teachings. Teachings from her home reserve and from mother earth. She incorporates a Cree style with a more modern approach looking up to Indigenous artists such as Jackson Beardy, Norval Morrisseau and local artist, Steve Owens. These artists have always been inspiration to her.
